If you are considering making an appointment with us at All About Salon – we understand that you may have some questions. To help set expectations and make sure you feel confident before your appointment, we’ve put together a few FAQs below.

General FAQs

  • We’ll always do our best to accommodate you wherever possible.
    If you’re up to 10 minutes late, we may need to shorten your service time.
    If you’re more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment for a more suitable time.

  • We always recommend rebooking at each visit to secure your preferred stylist and time.

    That said, we know schedules can change — so we suggest booking 2–3 weeks in advance to avoid missing out.

    We do sometimes have last-minute cancellations, so feel free to call or email us to check availability or be added to our cancellation list. We’ll do our best to fit you in!

  • We understand that things come up! However, cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

    This helps us respect our team’s time and offer the spot to someone else on our waitlist.

  • Yes! We strongly recommend a complimentary consultation if you:

    • Need a colour correction

    • Are unsure what’s achievable

    • Have damaged hair

    • Are unsure about the colour or style you want to achieve

    This helps us create the best plan for your hair’s health and your goals.

    Please note: This guarantee is void if your hair is treated at another salon between your initial appointment and any adjustment appointment.

  • Not 100% happy? Don’t worry — these things happen.
    We guarantee all of our work, and if you feel like you need an adjustment within the first 2 weeks, we’re happy to redo the service free of charge*.

  • Typically, professional hair colour lasts 4–6 weeks, depending on the type of dye used and how well you care for your hair at home.

  • Permanent, ammonia-free hair dyes with nourishing ingredients are some of the best options for long-lasting colour that keeps your hair healthy and vibrant.

  • Hair colouring can cause damage if done incorrectly or with harsh products. That’s why we use high-quality, gentle formulas and provide expert care to keep your hair as healthy as possible. Proper aftercare also helps minimise any damage.

  • When covering grey, going slightly lighter than your natural colour usually works best. It helps avoid a harsh contrast as the colour fades and your roots grow in.

  • Many hair dyes contain conditioning agents that nourish and strengthen your hair. Plus, the colouring process can help seal the cuticles, making your hair feel smoother and shinier.
